EPS Sandwich Panel is a kind of lightweight energy saving wall material, which uses cement fiber board as face panel, filled with cement and expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam particles as core material. Introduction of this revolutionary product replaces the traditional brick/block masonry in partition walls, due to its dry construction process and energy saving qualities. Composite wall panels are easy to install, reducing construction time and effort. They occupy smaller area effectively increasing usable floor space, which can eventually contribute to economic benefits. They are fire resistant, sound proof, water and moisture proof, and are also built to withstand seismic activities.
EPS Panels are the product for modern day construction and are superior to traditional construction techniques due to following benefits:
EPS Panels are a green product with no harmful substance used in their manufacturing and are reusable/recyclable thus reducing overall carbon footprint of the building.
The wall material is completely dry work, fabricated construction. The wall panel has a high level of finish, thus requiring no plaster. The wall panel’s construction progress can be increased by more than 20 times as compared to brick/block masonry, shortening the construction period and improving the efficiency of investment.
The core material of wall board is filled with lightweight EPS, reducing weight of the wall and eventually the overall structure. Light weight wall panel weighs 1/5th of a typical 113mm thick brick wall, therefore, reducing structural members’ and foundations’ sizes and leading towards the most economical structure.
These panels have very good fire resistant properties due to their non-combustible material. They perform satisfactorily under fire for more than four hours as they confine fire, smoke and toxic gas within the fire area to prevent fire from spreading.
Wall materials mainly are made from environmental protection and energy saving heat insulation material. With a good heat insulation and preservation function, it can keep the indoor temperature at a stable range and make the environment much more comfortable.
Good sound insulation, sound absorption and noise reduction functions. 100mm thick wall panel provides sound insulation of upto 42dB which is much higher than the traditional masonry walls.
The wall material board can be nailed into directly or expansion bolt can be installed to hang heavy loads. The single point of hanging strength is above 50kg. The surface of the board can be covered by ceramic tile, wall paper, paint, wood panel and other materials due to the smooth and ash-free features.
The thickness of the board is 100mm which helps in saving construction space compared with the traditional block/brick.
The lightweight wall panels have good moisture-proof and water-resistant properties therefore they can be used in wet areas like kitchen, toilet and basements etc.
Due to their light weight & tongue and grove joint, they are recommended for seismic resistant construction.
